Of all our single vineyard Furmints Pető is one of the most exciting. The vineyard is located between Tolcsva and Erdőbénye, with a south-eastern exposure and vulcanic soils. The vines are a mix of several Furmint varieties and include the harvest of the traditional head-trained plantation at the hilltop. Gentle pressing at low pressure, followed by fermentation and ageing in new barrels. Floral, inviting nose, with hints of oak and minerality in the background. Despite the solar vintage, the acidity is bright, the palate is full, showing delicious white flesh peach and grape notes. A lovely, beguiling single vineyard Furmint entering its ideal drinking window.
