With a south-eastern exposure on the outskirts of Erdőbénye, Meszes is a vineyard with rich and varied soils. The grapes were hand-picked in small crates in October at full ripeness. Destemming was followed by gentle pressing and the juice was transported by gravity flow. The must was inoculated with cultured yeasts and the wine was fermented and aged in 500 litre barrels for almost a year. A warm, sunny vintage, perfectly ripe, botrytis-free fruit, rich, full-flavoured wine. Its total acidity is balanced by 8 grams of natural residual sugar, made even more complex by subtle mineral notes and lovely, unobtrusive oak. Fragrant grapes, ripe peaches, meadow flowers.
