Amber-golden yellow colour, oily, dense texture. The deep botrytis notes become apparent in its aroma immediately that the significant smoky, smooth, oily texture carries on its shoulder that is made complete by a fruity finish. The wine has a very complex taste as a result of lively acids and strong, penetrating botrytis traits. All the complexity and delight of Tokaj Wine Region. This very special wine is made from berries affected by noble rot, that is Botrytis Cinerea. The resulting aszú berries are picked one by one at multiple harvest sessions. 2013 was an excellent vintage with top quality, fully botrytised grapes. Esszencia is made without pressing the grapes, it is the berries’ own weight that squeezes out the almost cream-like juice during storage. Rich in minerals, sugars and the special aromas and f lavours of the aszú grape, this is an exceptional batch that reveals all the beauty of the wine region with its inimitable complexity. The colour is a vibrant golden yellow, with intense, clean fruit flavours and incredibly rich botrytis notes. Food pairing: enjoy it on its own, in a small amount.
