Ripe Chardonnay grapes were selected from the Serédi vineyard in Tolcsva, a parcel with partly volcanic and partly limestone soils. After destemming and a short maceration, the grapes were gently pressed, then fermented and matured in temperature-controlled steel tanks and oak barrels. Silvery, pale green in colour, the nose is rich in floral and green apple aromas, with ripe peach and mineral notes typical of the terroir. A fruity, persistent, lovely wine with firm acidity and exciting mineral notes of Hegyalja on the finish. An enticing blend of varietal and terroir characteristics, this is a beautiful example of Chardonnay grown in the Zemplén region. Serve it chilled at 10 °C with quality fish, mushrooms, poultry and pasta, meat dishes and risottos with cream.
